Our mission strives to support individuals with special needs, children who are homeschooled, and their families by enhancing their lives and allowing them access to opportunities they might not otherwise have. We hope to empower those individuals to shine the light of Jesus just like Grace Emily did by helping them to reach their potential.

What we plan to support
Often special needs families and/or homeschooled families are given wonderful chances to learn things, yet find themselves financially unable to pay for these extra opportunities. The Schara’s are hoping to alleviate some of the financial burdens and obstacles families face and help cover needs via scholarships, and at times provide items to benefit other special needs and or homeschooled children. Some other opportunities may include blessings for the whole family. Their first foundation blessing they have taken part in involved purchasing an adult trike for a beautiful girl who is 19 (the same age as Grace Emily was), named Angel…how fitting. Their forever angel’s foundation first blessed a girl named Angel.
(Let’s plan on the site to give and list examples somewhere: mention possibly providing musical instruments, opportunities to benefit physical/motor skills such as hippotherapy/horseriding lessons, a fun family adventure day (go carting, batting cages, laser tag, mini golf, and more), a weekend getaway (like hotel Waterpark pass), $1000 yearly college scholarships, scholarships if can show/ share how someone is shining or “Glowing like Grace” did, and I can Shine/Ride program to help learn to ride a bike. Grace did this program.)
I would like to describe the “Glow like Grace” movement somewhere on the foundation site. I’m also looking for an acronym someone gave me awhile back for GRACE and the foundation.
